Privacy Policy — JSON Lens

Last updated: October 8, 2026

The short version

JSON Lens does not collect, upload, store remotely, share, or sell any of your data. Everything you paste or open in the extension is processed locally inside your browser tab and never leaves your device. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind.

What the extension does with your data

Permissions and why each is needed

The extension requests the minimum permissions required to function:

The extension requests no host_permissions, uses no content scripts, and loads no remote code — so there is physically nowhere for your data to be sent.

Third parties

None. No data is shared with, sold to, or processed by any third party, because no data ever leaves your device.

Children

The extension does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If a future version ever needs network access for a new feature, this policy will be updated before that version is published, the new permission will be disclosed in the Chrome Web Store listing, and the feature will ask for your consent first. The current version's zero-network guarantee stands as written above.
